ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is expanding its TransNET network with a multimodal connection to Serbia. The new TransFER route directly connects the economic hubs of Western and Central Europe with the Western Balkans.

RCG now offers weekly services from Kruševac, Serbia, via the Hungarian BILK terminal in Budapest to Duisburg, Germany. Kruševac, a key industrial hub in the Western Balkans, plays an important role in regional rail freight transport and is an ideal point for transporting freight within Serbia and to neighbouring countries.

Budapest, as an important hub, connects the Western Balkans with Central Europe and ensures seamless connections to Western Europe with efficient transhipment facilities. Duisburg, one of Europe’s largest inland ports and logistics hubs for international freight, serves as a gateway to Western European markets and provides onward connections for freight flows to the Benelux countries.
