Ocean Network Express (ONE) unveils the latest “ONE INITIATIVES” marking the conclusion of FY2023 Q3. Despite the encouraging signs of economic recovery in North America and Europe, driven by a rebound in consumer spending, recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and an extended drought at the Panama Canal have emerged as significant factors impacting global liner markets.
In response to the volatile nature of the global supply chain, ONE remains committed to enhancing its service coverage and networks. By the close of December 2023, all six cutting-edge 24,000 TEU vessels had been successfully delivered and deployed for the Asia-Europe service. Simultaneously, ONE has placed orders for new 13,000 TEU vessels featuring methanol dual fuel engines, slated for delivery in 2027. This move aligns with ONE’s environmental goals, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and supporting its aim to achieve Net Zero GHG emissions by 2050.
