Polish operator PKP CARGO has organised the delivery of rails to Sweden by rail and sea without transhipment of cargo at the request of ArcelorMittal Poland. The shipment takes place within the north-south corridor, which ensures direct access of Polish products to Scandinavian markets.

The shipment begins at the ArcelorMittal plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Silesian Voivodeship), from where the rails are delivered to the port of Świnoujście. There, the wagons are sent by rail ferry to the Swedish port of Ystad.

After arriving in Sweden, the cargo continues its journey by rail to end consumers. This transportation format allows for shorter delivery times, lower logistics risks and demonstrates the potential of sustainable multimodal solutions.
