The press conference held at the headquarters of ZMPSiŚ SA discussed plans for the construction of the Deep-Sea Container Terminal in Świnoujście. The event was attended by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Infrastructure Arkadiusz Marczewka, the President of ZMPSiŚ Jarosław Sierzej, the Vice President for Investments Krzysztof Sadowski and the Commissioner for Port Development Rafał Zahorski. One of the key issues was the discussion of the final decision on the choice of the location of the terminal and interaction with the local community.
At the end of July, the final location documentation was received, and by the end of the year, an environmental assessment is expected. The construction of the terminal in Świnoujście will be carried out taking into account all the requirements of sustainable development, environmental standards and the interests of local residents. The project also includes the construction of a new road to the beach, which is being discussed with the local authorities, and the modernization of the R10 bicycle route to ensure convenient access for tourists and local residents.
The terminal in Swinoujscie will be one of the most modern and environmentally friendly in the Baltic region. It will use advanced low-emission handling technologies that minimize emissions of pollutants, dust, gases and noise.
