In 2025, Poland’s seaports – the Port of Gdańsk, Port of Gdynia, Port of Szczecin, and Port of Świnoujście – handled 141 million tonnes of cargo, 5 million tonnes more than in 2024. Container throughput rose to 3.9 million TEU, an increase of 18%, confirming the growing role of Polish ports in Baltic Sea regional logistics.

The Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdańsk contributed significantly to this growth, handling 2.767 million TEU, a 23% increase from the previous year. Containers from Asian countries carrying consumer goods and electronics accounted for the bulk of this cargo flow. LNG imports also accounted for a significant share, with imports increasing by 32%, primarily due to shipments from the United States and Qatar. Other strategic cargoes included steel, grain, and coal, although coal exports continue to decline.

Financial indicators in the port sector also showed positive dynamics. At the end of the year, net profits at Polish ports reached PLN 650 million, 20% higher than in 2024, reflecting increased operational efficiency and robust demand for maritime logistics services.
