Over the past three months, more than 1,700 freight trains have been running on the China-Europe route every month. In July, the number of trains reached 1,776, transporting 185,000 TEUs.
Since the beginning of 2024, the volume of rail freight on this route has increased by 11%. In total, more than 11,000 trains have been dispatched since the beginning of the year, transporting over 1.23 million TEUs of cargo.
China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. notes that in 2024, it focused on improving the quality and efficiency of its services by strengthening transportation channels, improving transshipment capacity at border ports, and implementing expedited customs clearance procedures to maintain the stability of international supply chains.
