Rijeka Gateway, a joint project between APM Terminals and Enna Group in Croatia, will be powered exclusively by renewable energy, including solar and wind power. The move is aimed at significantly reducing CO2 emissions and other pollutants, making the terminal one of the greenest in the Adriatic.

In addition, the terminal will create 300 jobs and introduce a number of environmentally friendly technologies. These include water management systems, automatic lighting to reduce light pollution, and the ability to connect ships to shore power to reduce engine work. Soft landing technologies for cranes and white noise signals are used to minimize noise impact.

Enna Next will ensure that all electricity supplied to the terminal is certified as renewable, reinforcing the project’s sustainability and environmental ambitions.
