In Astana, the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan “Kazlogistics” held a working meeting with representatives of GIZ, Expertise France and the EU delegation to discuss the new EU program for the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TCTC). Jarrolds Logistics, part of The APC network, has opened a new 30,000 sq ft logistics centre in Norwich, increasing its operational capacity by more than 35%. The new hub on Avian Way replaces the previous depot in Long Stratton and supports overnight deliveries, storage and fulfilment, while reducing driver miles and allowing later parcel collection times.

One of the world’s largest sea container carriers, the Danish company Maersk, has introduced a new corporate design for its containers. Instead of the traditional gray color used since 1973, the new containers will now be painted bright blue.
The 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Kazakhstan and Pakistan was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev and the Minister of National Economy of Pakistan Ahad Khan Cheema. DSV has officially completed the acquisition of logistics company Schenker from German rail company Deutsche Bahn for DKK 106.7 billion (approx. EUR 14.3 billion), creating a global leader in the transport and logistics industry. This is the largest transaction in DSV’s history, and will result in the combined company operating in more than 90 countries, with 160,000 employees and revenues of around DKK 310 billion (EUR 41.6 billion).
German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd reported a sharp reduction in cargo transportation from China to the United States – about 30% of customers cancelled their deliveries amid the ongoing tariff war between Washington and Beijing. This step was a significant blow to trade volumes on the key trans-Pacific route.
Maersk has opened its first warehouse in France, a 75,000 m² facility in the GLP Park Denain logistics park in the Hauts-de-France region. The new hub joins the company’s global network of over 500 warehouses worldwide and strengthens Maersk’s presence in a key European market. The warehouse was inaugurated on 23 April in the presence of local authorities and business partners, underlining the strategic importance of the project for the region.
A delegation from China headed by the Secretary General of the International Land Transport Committee of the China International Freight Forwarders Association and the International Freight Train Alliance Lin Beizhan visited the international logistics company CRCT Kazakhstan. The delegation also included the Director of the Alliance Zhong Weixiang and representatives of 16 Chinese logistics companies. The guests were met by the General Director of CRCT Kazakhstan Dai Hansheng and his deputy Mi Fenghao.
