The Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdansk has announced the launch of four new shipping services. As of the end of March, two weekly Maersk voyages as part of the Gemini Cooperation alliance will regularly call at the port, connecting it with Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven. From April, they will be joined by two MSC routes on the Asia-Europe routes as part of the Britannia and Albatros services.
The first transhipment of an ocean container ship took place at the new T3 berth in the Port of Gdansk — Baltic Hub received the MSC Stacey, a vessel with a length of almost 366 meters and a capacity of 15,000 TEU. The visit took place on March 30 as part of a side event and became an important milestone in the implementation of the large-scale T3 project.
HHLA PLT Italy and Maersk are strengthening their partnership by launching the new weekly sea service E17, the first vessel of which has already arrived in the port of Trieste. The route connects Port Said, Trieste and Venice, strengthening the logistics network in the Mediterranean and confirming the strategic importance of the port of Trieste for the region.

Italian company Marcegaglia has acquired an LHM 600 mobile harbour crane, marking the 2,000th crane produced by Liebherr. Singapore-based Pacific International Lines (PIL) has unveiled its fourth dual-fuel LNG vessel, the Kota Embun, at a ceremony in Shanghai. The vessel is the first in PIL’s fleet to feature a windscreen, which improves aerodynamics and reduces fuel consumption by 1% per year.
