A new container terminal T3 has opened in Gdansk – the largest port investment in the Baltics.

Baltic Hub has officially launched the T3 terminal at the Port of Gdansk, a key infrastructure project that will enhance Poland’s logistics potential and strengthen its position in the global supply chain. The new terminal covers 36 hectares and will increase the hub’s annual capacity from 3 to 4.5 million TEU by the end of 2025, allowing it to handle the world’s largest container ships thanks to a berth depth of 17.5 meters.

Greece could become a key partner in the restoration of Ukraine’s maritime industry.

The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine considers Greece as a strategic partner in the restoration of port infrastructure and the development of maritime transport. During the Ukrainian-Greek business forum, Deputy Minister Maryna Denysiuk emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Greek ports of Thessaloniki and Alexandroupolis, which are already actively used as alternative routes for the export of Ukrainian grain in the context of the Black Sea blockade.

ONE will be the first shipping operator to connect to shore power supply in the Port of Hamburg.

During the international trade fair Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich, Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd. (ONE) signed an agreement with the city of Hamburg on the future use of shore power supply in the port. The document was signed by ONE Managing Director Takahiro Kikuchi, Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs Dr. Melanie Leonhard and Chief Commercial Officer of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) Friedrich Stuhrmann.

JadeWeserPort strengthens cooperation with Austria and opens up new prospects for logistics.

Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven, presented its logistics capabilities at the Port of Enns on the Danube. The event, organized jointly with TFG Transfracht, Nordfrost, Eurogate and the Enns Container Terminal, showed Austrian shippers the port’s potential for handling large vessels and developing multimodal routes.

Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Port signed the first memorandum of cooperation within the Middle Corridor with APM Terminals Poti.

Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Sea Port signed a memorandum with APM Terminals Poti, the operator of the largest seaport in Georgia and a division of the global logistics company Maersk. This is the first such agreement of the Ukrainian port, aimed at developing cooperation within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor.

Poti Trans Terminal has started operations.

The Poti Trans Terminal container terminal was put into operation on May 23, 2025. The project was implemented in 16 months with the support of investors from Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan. The total investment amounted to $31.5 million, according to the Kazakh company PTC Holding.

USPA strengthened cooperation with Romania and the European Commission within the framework of the “Road of Solidarity”.

A trilateral meeting was held in the Romanian city of Galati, which was attended by representatives of Ukraine, Romania and the European Commission within the framework of the “Road of Solidarity” initiative. The State Enterprise “Authority of Sea Ports of Ukraine” was represented by the head of the enterprise Oleksandr Semirga. The parties focused on strengthening cooperation in the Danube region, developing logistics and shipping safety, as well as improving digital interaction between port authorities through the PRIMUS platform.

Van Oord and the Port of Amsterdam have carried out the first ship-to-ship bunkering of green methanol.

The Port of Amsterdam has seen its first-ever green methanol bunkering of a ship: Van Oord’s drillship Boreas received 500 tonnes of the green fuel from the bunkering vessel Chicago (operated by Unibarge) at TMA Logistics’ Amerikohaven terminal. The fuel was supplied by ISCC-certified OCI HyFuels, produced from sustainable sources such as waste and residual streams.
