Notably, the company expanded its market presence in 2023, particularly in Airfreight and Seafreight, while witnessing international growth in its Contract Logistics division. With total sales reaching EUR 3.5 billion, Hellmann achieved a robust performance, surpassing pre-pandemic levels, despite an anticipated decline attributed to the normalization of freight rates post-pandemic.

Baltic Ground Services (BGS), a global leader in ground handling and logistics, has announced the extension of its service agreement with Turkish Cargo for another three years. This renewal underscores the longstanding partnership between BGS and Turkish Cargo, the air cargo arm of Turkish Airlines, dating back to 2013 when BGS commenced operations in Vilnius.

KTZ Express, in collaboration with the Pakistani company National Logistics Cell, has launched a new pilot project of a multimodal export route from Kazakhstan to the UAE. This route passes through Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and then the cargo is delivered by sea to the port of Jebel Ali.

Bavaria’s Minister-President, Dr. Markus Söder, inaugurated Gebrüder Weiss’ new logistics center in Straubing, marking a significant milestone for the region’s transportation infrastructure. During the opening ceremony on April 18, Minister-President Söder gained insights into the facility’s operational procedures, emphasizing its pivotal role in preparing incoming goods spanning 3,700 square meters for distribution across Germany and beyond. Situated strategically, the terminal functions as a vital hub for forwarding services within Germany, as well as facilitating air and sea freight shipments globally, catering to economic regions including Eastern Bavaria, Lower Bavaria, and Upper Palatinate.
