22 августа в городе Игдыр состоялась церемония начала строительства железнодорожной линии Карс-Дилуджу, которая соединит Турцию с Нахчыванской Автономной Республикой. В мероприятии принял участие министр транспорта Турции Абдулкадир Ураглу.
The new 224 km long line will be part of the strategic “Zangezur Corridor”, which is of key importance for the development of transport links in the region. The project is aimed at strengthening logistics cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
The total investment is estimated at 2.4 billion euros. The implementation of the project will improve infrastructure in eastern Turkey and expand opportunities for freight and passenger transportation.
