Белгород-Днестровский морской порт подписал меморандум о сотрудничестве с ООО «Батумский международный контейнерный терминал» (БМКТ), управляющим контейнерным, паромным и генеральным терминалами в порту Батуми (Грузия). Это уже второй подобный документ украинского предприятия в рамках развития Транскаспийского международного транспортного маршрута (ТМТМ, или «Средний коридор»), сообщила директор ГП Оксана Киктенко.
The agreement provides for the launch of a new ferry route between Ukraine and Georgia, as well as the construction of a road and rail ferry complex in the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky port. The project is being developed taking into account the specifics of the cargo flows of the “Middle Corridor” and is aimed at expanding the capabilities for their handling.
According to Kiktenko, the main goal of the cooperation is to attract transit cargo and strengthen the role of the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky port, which plans to become the largest hub of the TITR on the European side of the route.
