В ходе визита в Афганистан министр иностранных дел Казахстана Мурат Нуртлеу подписал меморандум о сотрудничестве по строительству железнодорожной линии между Центральной и Южной Азией. Документ предусматривает реализацию проекта Тургунди-Герат-Кандагар-Спин-Болдак, включающего два этапа строительства и создание транспортно-логистического центра на территории Афганистана.
At the first stage, the parties plan to build the Turgundi-Herat railway, the necessary infrastructure and a logistics hub in Herat. Earlier, Kazakhstan announced its readiness to participate in projects to develop the trans-Afghan corridor, including the Termez-Peshawar and Herat-Spin Boldak lines.
Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan intend to jointly invest in the development of a logistics hub at the intersection of key trade routes between North and South Asia, strengthening the region’s economic ties.
