По итогам 2024 года компания Kombiverkehr KG перевела 769 733 отправки с автомобильного и водного транспорта на железнодорожный (-5,6%) и сохранила положительный финансовый результат – прибыль составила более 216 тыс. евро. Несмотря на снижение объемов перевозок в Германии и за рубежом, компании удалось сохранить стабильность сети и даже увеличить перевозки по ряду направлений: в сообщении с Польшей рост составил 46,4%, с Францией – 13,7%, с Испанией – 12,6%. Лидирующим сегментом остался южноевропейский маршрут через Бреннерский коридор (215 654 отправки). Общий объем перевозок снизился на 6,3% – до 14,89 млрд тонно-километров.
The company continued to invest in the development and optimization of the network. In 2024–2025, new routes were launched: Rotterdam–Cologne, Antwerp–Madrid, Duisburg–Hallsberg, and the Lübeck–Verona service was reopened. The strategically important project to change the traction operator was completed: 14 railway companies, including KombiRail Europe and SBB Cargo International, now provide services across the entire network. Operating revenue amounted to €434.6 million, almost at the 2023 level, while the company’s customers saved 1.12 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
Kombiverkehr has sharply criticized the German railway infrastructure and called on the federal government to urgently review the maintenance corridor policy. Due to massive construction work and the lack of bypass routes, up to 15% of trains are cancelled, which places a financial burden on customers. The company insists on a return to the principle of “repairs under moving wheels” and offers the government support measures: cancellation of price increases for access to tracks, compensation for detours, exemption from road charges and equal competitive conditions with road transport.
