The work started simultaneously in the city of Arkalyk and the village of Torgay in the Zhangeldinsky district. The project will provide direct communication between the central and western parts of the country, and will also create an outlet to the Trans-Caspian international transport route. As a result, the distance between Astana and Irgiz will be reduced by 573 km, which will significantly increase the speed and cost-effectiveness of cargo transportation.
Special attention during the project implementation was paid to environmental issues: special engineering solutions are provided in the areas of saiga migration, allowing the animals to cross the road safely. The launch ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Transport Satzhan Ablaliyev and Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov.
