In the first quarter of 2025, the Port of Tallinn earned a net profit of EUR 6.8 million, which is 31% more than in the same period last year. The increase in profit was driven by a 4.8% increase in the number of vessel calls and insurance compensation for the leased icebreaker Botnica.
Despite a 3.6% decrease in passenger traffic and a slight decrease in cargo turnover of 0.7%, the company’s revenue increased by 1.5% to EUR 28.3 million. Profit increased by 3.1% compared to the first quarter of 2024.
As noted by Valdo Kalm, Chairman of the Management Board of the Port, the positive financial result was made possible by stable vessel calls and a successful resolution of an insurance claim, which made it possible to compensate for the decrease in volumes and maintain positive dynamics.
