DHL Group и Scania завершили 100-дневные испытания нового грузовика Erev (электромобиль с увеличенным запасом хода) со встроенным топливным генератором для подзарядки аккумуляторной батареи. Испытания проходили на маршруте Берлин — Гамбург, где автомобиль работал на электроэнергии из сети 91,91 TP3T, что позволило сократить выбросы CO₂e более чем на 901 TP3T по сравнению с дизельными аналогами.
The backup generator was only activated 8.1% of the time, demonstrating the potential of the technology as a transitional solution for long-haul transport with limited charging infrastructure. According to DHL, Erev is suitable for sustainable logistics operations today.
DHL Group CEO Tobias Meyer emphasized the need for such solutions to be recognized at the legislative level. According to him, the market should not wait for full electrification – it is important to support technologies that can already significantly reduce the carbon footprint.
