Tbilisi Dry Port, a project of AD Ports Group in Georgia, will open in May 2025.

In May 2025, the first dry port in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi Dry Port, will begin operating in Tbilisi. The project is being implemented by AD Ports Group (UAE), which has previously invested in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The port received permission from the Georgian Railway Agency to receive and process cargo by rail in accordance with the new requirements that come into force on January 1, 2025.

Initially, the opening was planned for September 2024, then postponed to April 2025. After the completion of all three stages of construction, the port will be able to handle up to 286 thousand TEU annually, and its warehouse space will be 100 thousand m². The project also includes container platforms with a throughput of 200 thousand TEU and customs warehouses of 12.3 thousand m².

Regular rail service will be established between Tbilisi Dry Port and the seaports of Potia and Batumi. The new logistics hub will be located next to Tbilisi Airport and will become an important element of the country’s transport infrastructure.
