The Port of Rijeka Authority has signed a contract with the Croatian IT company CompING d.o.o. for over 112,000 euros for the purchase, installation and integration of equipment and software into the port’s information system. The signing took place within the framework of the CRESPORT pilot project, aimed at increasing the cyber resilience and security of Adriatic ports. Funding is provided by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 program, with 80% of the budget covered by a European grant and the rest by the port.
The project includes the modernization of the security infrastructure, including updating firewall systems and improving user control standards. It is also planned to conduct a comprehensive cyber threat assessment to create a solid foundation for the further digital development of the port.
CRESPORT is being implemented under the coordination of the Ravenna Port Authority and unites the ports of Rijeka, Dubrovnik and Ploče on the Croatian side, as well as key Adriatic ports on the Italian side. The joint work of the participants is aimed at creating a sustainable and safe transport system that meets the challenges of the digital age.
