Baltic Hub strengthens its position as the largest container hub in the Baltics by expanding T3.

In March, Baltic Hub, part of the PSA Group, received three state-of-the-art Ship-To-Shore (STS) shore cranes, continuing the large-scale expansion of the T3 terminal. Earlier, in October 2024, the terminal received four more such cranes, which are currently undergoing testing. The new equipment is designed to significantly improve the efficiency of handling the world’s largest container ships.

The construction of the T3 terminal is taking place on an artificial peninsula with an area of 36 hectares and is closely integrated with the existing capacities of the hub. After the completion of the project at the end of 2025, the total throughput of Baltic Hub will reach 4.5 million TEU per year, which will strengthen its position among the largest container complexes in Europe.

Jan Van Mossevelde, CEO of Baltic Hub, noted that the expansion of T3 is an investment in the future of global logistics. The new semi-automated terminal and modern cranes will improve not only the productivity and safety of operations, but also the environmental sustainability of the port.

The development of the Baltic Hub opens up additional opportunities for the Polish economy and international trade, ensuring the hub’s status as a key hub on the logistics map of Europe.
