KTZ increased the volume of freight transportation by 6.6% in two months of 2025.

In January-February 2025, 42.4 million tons of cargo were transported via the network of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, which is 6.6% more than in the same period last year. Domestic transportation increased by 2% and reached 26.8 million tons, while export deliveries increased by 16%, amounting to 15.6 million tons.

Significant growth was recorded in coal transportation – 18.2 million tons (+ 4.7%), of which 13 million tons were sent to the domestic market. The volume of grain transportation increased by 42.5% to 2.4 million tons, while exports grew by 44.5%, reaching 1.9 million tons.

There was also an increase in the transportation of oil cargo (3.2 million tons, +3%), ferrous metals (700 thousand tons, +14.3%), chemical fertilizers (816 thousand tons, +16.5%), iron ore and manganese (3.2 million tons, +4%) and construction materials (1.6 million tons, +7.9%).

KTZ emphasized that the company continues to strengthen its logistics capacity, ensuring stable supplies to both the domestic and export markets.
