The transition follows a five-year partnership and positions Swissterminal to align its operations with DP World’s global network.
Swissterminal has become fully integrated into DP World following the acquisition of the remaining shares by the global logistics provider.
Swissterminal has operated terminals in the Basel region of Switzerland and the Alsace region of France for decades, serving as key logistics hubs connecting Switzerland, South Germany, and France to major European seaports. The company provides terminal handling, depot and warehousing services, and a rail and barge transport network focused on high frequency and short transit times.
The integration into DP World is expected to expand Swissterminal’s capacity to deliver end-to-end logistics solutions. DP World’s infrastructure and supply chain network are anticipated to increase efficiency and broaden the range of transport services available to Swissterminal’s customers. The company’s name, brand, and operational addresses will remain unchanged.
Leadership and operational structure
As part of the transition, Matthias Dischinger has been appointed CEO of Swissterminal. Roman Mayer will continue to serve on the Board and as a consultant. Tatiana Mayer will remain as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Fabrice Marti will continue as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Planned investments and operational focus
DP World plans to invest in infrastructure and sustainable logistics solutions across the Swiss and tri-border region. The aim is to strengthen Swissterminal’s role as a logistics hub for international container traffic and to develop new supply chain solutions aligned with customer demands for sustainable and low-carbon transport options.
