Kazakhstan and RHENUS discussed the development of logistics and the construction of a terminal in Aktau.

Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev held a meeting with RHENUS representative Heinrich Kerstgens, at which the parties discussed the prospects for new Kazakh-German projects in logistics. The focus was on the modernization of warehouse infrastructure and the expansion of multimodal transportation to increase the country’s transit potential.

Heinrich Kerstgens noted the growing role of Kazakhstan in global logistics chains and expressed interest in joint projects, including the construction of a container terminal in the port of Aktau. It is planned that the facility will be connected to the railway and will have access to the port waters, which will significantly increase its transport efficiency.

Marat Karabayev emphasized the willingness to cooperate with foreign investors to fully unlock the potential of Kazakhstan as a key logistics hub in the region. RHENUS, one of the TOP-25 largest logistics companies in the world, has a developed network of terminals in Europe and is actively expanding its presence in Central Asia.
