Euroports and GEK TERNA signed an agreement on the port of Kavala.

Euroports and GEK TERNA have officially signed a sub-concession agreement for the Philippos B commercial port in Kavala, Greece. The terminal, operated by Euroports, will be an important step in the company’s expansion in the Mediterranean. The partnership with GEK TERNA, a leading Greek group in infrastructure, energy and logistics, aims to modernize the port in line with European standards.

The terminal covers an area of 180,000 m² and is equipped with infrastructure for handling various cargoes, including marble, fertilizers, agrobulk and general cargo. With a depth of up to 12.5 meters, a RoRo ramp and two berths of 610 and 315 meters, the port can efficiently handle cargo flows. Situated 160 km from Thessaloniki, the port has convenient road connections, with a future connection to the rail network expected.

Euroports sees strategic potential in this project for the development of international logistics corridors, including routes to Bulgaria and other countries. Kavala will become an important trade hub, contributing to the growth of the regional economy and the integration of Greece into the global logistics network.
