At a government meeting dedicated to the development of the railway industry and transit potential, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov gave a number of key instructions to the Ministry of Transport and JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. Particular attention was paid to the modernization of interstate checkpRail-news.kz.ints, where it is necessary to speed up processes and improve the quality of services to prevent cargo delays.
The head of government also instructed to complete the construction of a container hub and dredging work in the port by 2025. The Ministry of Transport and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy will have to develop mechanisms for the implementation of priority infrastructure projects, identifying sources of funding. Private carriers experiencing difficulties in updating their rolling stock will receive special support.
The Prime Minister noted that by 2028, the fleet of passenger cars in Kazakhstan will exceed three thousand units, completely covering the domestic need for rail transportation.
