HMM to invest $17.5 billion in container fleet and infrastructure development by 2030.

Transportation and logistics company HMM plans to invest more than $17.5 billion in its business development by 2030. About $8.1 billion will be spent on maintaining the existing container fleet of 130 vessels with a total capacity of 1.55 million TEU. The company also plans to acquire about 70 eco-friendly vessels to meet the growing demand for “green” transportation.

HMM will also expand its bulk and liquid cargo fleet from 36 to 110 units, investing about $4.1 billion in this segment. The company will allocate more than $3 billion to improve its shipping and logistics infrastructure, which includes expanding terminals and acquiring new port facilities to support growing cargo turnover.

In addition, HMM plans to expand its network of inland container terminals (ODCY) to ensure efficient customer service and facilitate further business growth.
