Transport issues concerning the EAEU were discussed in Almaty.

In Almaty, a meeting was held between the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Arzybek Kozhoshev and entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of government agencies and companies. The main focus was on transport and logistics issues related to the free movement of goods within the Eurasian Economic Union.

Arzybek Kozhoshev emphasized the importance of maintaining a competitive environment in the transport and logistics services market and creating a modern infrastructure without barriers to the movement of goods within the EAEU. He noted that to achieve these goals, businesses need to more actively participate in integration processes and establish a dialogue with regulators.

In addition, issues related to the registration of electronic passports for exported goods, problems of transit of illegal products, changes in tax policy on tobacco products, as well as restrictions on the import of cement were discussed. EEC representatives discussed the development of integration in the industry and the specifics of crossing the Russian-Belarusian border by carriers from other EAEU countries.
