KTZ and Jinhua City Hall signed a memorandum on the development of logistics.

In Zhejiang province, the management of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC held a working meeting with the Jinhua City Hall. The parties discussed the development of logistics infrastructure and strengthening bilateral relations. The result of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum on the joint development of terminal activities in Kazakhstan and China.

This meeting continued the implementation of joint projects aimed at increasing the transit potential of Kazakhstan, including the Khorgos Gateway dry port, terminals in Xi’an and Lianyungang, a container hub in Aktau and a transport and logistics center at Selyatino station.

Zhejiang, one of the most economically developed provinces in Eastern China, is known for its high investment attractiveness and the presence of 17 ports, the largest of which are Jinhua and Yiwu. This is where the main container trains in the China-Europe and China-Central Asia directions are formed. In the first five months of 2024, the volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and China increased by 12.4%, reaching 12.8 million tons.
