Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are preparing to build a large logistics hub in Herat province. This strategic agreement is aimed at developing trade routes and increasing the transit of hydrocarbons through the region.
Afghan Minister of Industry and Trade Nuruddin Azizi said initial annual traffic through the new logistics hub could reach one million tons. In addition, the parties held negotiations on the development of the trans-Afghan corridor with China, planning to use Afghan territory to deliver Chinese goods to Iran.
