An express block train Poti – Baku was launched in the port of Poti.

On January 30, the Poti-Baku Express Block Train ceremony was held at the port of Poti, Georgia, with the participation of the management of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Georgian Railways JSC. The new service marks another step in the development of rail service between the Black Sea and Azerbaijan and the strengthening of regional logistics links.

During the event, representatives of the parties emphasized that the launch of the train will allow cargo owners to significantly reduce delivery times and optimize costs. Specifically, this will reduce costs associated with storing cargo and empty containers at terminals, as well as enable more predictable transportation planning.

The Poti-Baku Express Block Train connects Black Sea ports with ports and terminals in Azerbaijan and offers a simplified logistics product. The service provides regular container deliveries from Poti to Baku and vice versa on a fixed schedule, minimizing delays and increasing the reliability of container shipping.
