Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), part of the AZCON holding, visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan. Port Director Parahat Jumayev presented the delegation with a detailed overview of the port’s infrastructure, technical capabilities, and transit potential.
During the talks, the parties discussed the role of the Turkmenbashi Port in developing regional cargo transportation, synchronizing operations with Baku, and ongoing dredging work. It was emphasized that expanding Caspian-Black Sea connectivity will increase cargo flows and improve the efficiency of operations along the Middle Corridor.
The importance of coordinating port operations along the Eurasian Transport Route, the southern branch of the Middle Corridor, was also emphasized as a key factor in ensuring fast, safe, and efficient cargo transportation.
