The international conference BLACK SEA TRANSPORT CORRIDORS 2026: PORTS, RAILWAYS, SHIPPING was held on April 20–22, 2026 in Constanta, Romania, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Mamaia Beach.
The event brought together key market players of ports, railway logistics, shipping lines, freight forwarders, investors, lawyers and insurance specialists working across the Black Sea region, Europe and Asia.

The conference traditionally started with a welcoming evening cocktail reception, where participants had the opportunity to establish first contacts in an informal atmosphere before the intensive conference day.
The forum day opened with registration and welcome coffee, followed by the official opening speech from Роман Дедков, Founder & CEO of Группа RDL, и Дэн Джарнеа, Head of Marketing Department of the Port of Constanta.
Session 1: Black Sea Transport Corridors in a new reality – from crisis to opportunity
The session was opened by Daniel Jarnea, who highlighted the role of the Port of Constanta in the Black Sea region and its growing importance for regional and intercontinental cargo flows.
Михай Тоганель, Counselor at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania, presented Romania’s strategy for multimodal development, focusing on rail, port and inland connectivity.
Renata Godja, Commercial Director of Carpatica Feroviar Romania S.A., spoke about the development of Romania’s transport and logistics infrastructure, new routes and transit potential via Romania.
Венера Влад, Associate Director, Infrastructure at ЕБРР Romania, revealed financing opportunities for Black Sea infrastructure projects, emphasizing investor interest in regional corridors.
Elena Margl, Head of Sales Leasing Region SEE at VTG Rail Europe, presented the topic “Rail Logistics – Linking the Black Sea with Europe and Asia”, focusing on wagon fleet solutions and cross-border rail integration.
Irina Maltseva and Larysa Roshu, leading lawyers at Interlegal (юридическая фирма, Украина), delivered a joint presentation “When Logistics Meets Law. Risk, Responsibility & Reality in Black Sea & World Trade”, addressing legal risks, liability and contractual realities in modern logistics.
Session 2 – Panel Discussion: Middle East Crisis – the new map of Asia–Europe logistics
A dynamic panel discussion gathered leading logistics practitioners to analyze how the crisis in the Middle East has already reshaped cargo flows between Asia and Europe.
Participants discussed whether the situation represents a short-term spike in demand or a long-term structural shift toward the Black Sea and Middle Corridor routes, the real bottlenecks that appeared after a sudden 450–500% surge in demand, and at what level of war risk premium these routes become economically preferable.

Then, Станислав Ковалёв, Head of Cargo/Logistics Insurance Division at Marine Insurance Services, introduced his company and shared the latest updates.
The panel also focused on port and rail capacity in the region, scalability of infrastructure, regulatory barriers, and Romania’s attractiveness for nearshoring from a logistics perspective over the next five years.

Session 3: Rail logistics – Linking the Black Sea with Europe and Asia
The rail-focused session was opened by Альберто Гризоне, Director for Strategic Projects and Network Developments at Hupac Intermodal S.A., who presented network, services and practical solutions to overcome infrastructure bottlenecks between Constanta, the Black Sea region and Europe.
Yedil Yelibayev, Business Development Manager at GP Intermodal SA Romania, analyzed the impact of global geopolitical and economic changes on transport logistics and the growing role of alternative corridors.
Nicola Alexandru, Deputy Commercial Manager at Unicom Tranzit Romania, spoke about rail transport performance in Romania, infrastructure constraints and future development plans.
Helmut Seilert, Head of Development, Logistics & Marketing at Mukran Port, Germany, presented Baltic Sea alternatives and interconnections with Black Sea logistics chains.
The conference program continued with pre-arranged B2B meetings, allowing participants to discuss cooperation in detail, followed by the Closing Gala Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The third day of the event was dedicated to a technical field trip to the Port of Constanta, where participants familiarized themselves with the port’s infrastructure, terminals and operational capabilities on site.
BLACK SEA TRANSPORT CORRIDORS once again confirmed its role as an effective professional platform where infrastructure operators, logistics companies, investors and service providers can openly discuss challenges, share practical solutions and form new partnerships for the development of transport corridors between Europe and Asia through the Black Sea region.
