At a meeting in Almaty, which brought together heads of branches of road departments and shippers, a program to improve the efficiency of cargo transportation was discussed. Among the participants were representatives of such companies as RZH Brands LLP, NEK Terminal LLP, and NSK Trans Logistics LLP.
The program is based on analyzing train traffic volumes and identifying key stations to improve transportation efficiency. At the initial stage, the stations of the Almaty hub were chosen, where it is planned to introduce the technology of interval train movement (IRT).
Infrastructure projects are envisaged, including the construction of a marshalling yard and a low-power hump, to increase capacity and improve train speeds. During the meeting, proposals from business representatives were heard and issues of effective organization of work were discussed.
