Adif has joined the European consortium EULYNX for the standardisation of railway automation.

Spanish rail infrastructure operator Adif has joined the EULYNX international consortium, which develops technical standards for the unification of interfaces and components for microprocessor-based interlocking systems. Joining EULYNX will allow Adif to contribute to the creation of modern rail automation solutions at the EU level.

The company expects that participation in the consortium will ensure the implementation in Spain of reliable and compliant signaling and telemetry systems with low operating costs. It will also accelerate the transition to a single digital space for train traffic control.

To date, EULYNX includes infrastructure operators from most countries in Western and Northern Europe (except Denmark and Ireland), as well as national companies from Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia and Poland, which is represented by Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), responsible for the development of the high-speed highway network.
