Craiss Generation Logistik continues to expand and has announced a major expansion of its facility in Weiz, Austria. The company is increasing the warehouse space by 20,000 square meters to meet the growing needs of its key customer Siemens Energy. Since the warehouse opened in 2021, Craiss has been offering services in Weiz that go well beyond standard logistics. Construction of the new site began on October 8 with a ceremony.
The expansion includes 20,000 square meters of warehouse and production space, 10,500 square meters of open storage areas and more than 600 square meters of office space. This will allow the company to consolidate its warehouse capacities, increasing efficiency and reducing costs and emissions. A major advantage is the proximity to the rail network, which is used for both the production facility and the logistics center.
The new rail line optimizes the transport of large components that require special logistics solutions. The expansion not only strengthens Weiz’s position as an industrial centre, but also places an emphasis on sustainable development.
