Hellmann Worldwide Logistics leads digital innovation in collaboration with startups

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a prominent global family-owned company, continues its commitment to driving digital transformation within the logistics industry through extensive collaborations with innovative start-ups. Since February, Hellmann has taken on the role of a corporate partner at the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg (DHLH), contributing its wealth of expertise to advance sustainable innovation within the framework of a global medium-sized enterprise. As part of the German network “Digital Hub Initiative,” initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in collaboration with the Digital Association Bitkom, DHLH operates as an innovation hub, fostering collaboration among companies, investors, start-ups, and the scientific community to propel lasting innovations.

With Hellmann’s inclusion, the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg has expanded its network to 25 corporate partners and approximately 100 start-ups, collectively shaping groundbreaking ideas and intelligent innovations for the future of logistics and supply chains, bringing them to market readiness. The broader Digital Hub Initiative serves as a connecting platform, linking medium-sized businesses and corporations with fresh innovation partners from academia and the startup ecosystem, cultivating a robust network across twelve thematic hubs that facilitate the exchange of technological and business expertise, thereby driving transformative innovations. With a legacy spanning over 150 years, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, boasting nearly 14,000 employees across 54 countries, achieved a turnover of 5 billion euros in 2022, providing a comprehensive suite of logistics services, including traditional forwarding, CEP services, contract logistics, and industry-specific IT solutions.
