In the first six months of 2024, 1,724 freight trains traveled along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in the China-Europe direction, which is 11.7% more than the same period last year. The number of trains increased by 180 trains.
Trains transported 2.144 million tons of cargo, which is 12.3% more than last year. The increase was 0.235 million tons.
The volume of container traffic along the Middle Corridor reached 196.6 thousand TEU, an increase of 12.8% or 22.31 thousand TEU compared to the same period last year.
