A working meeting was held in Astana between Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ, and Armen Gevondyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
During the talks, JSC NC KTZ confirmed its readiness to establish a systemic working dialogue, including the prompt exchange of information and coordination of actions in key areas. Particular attention was paid to the development and modernization of Armenia’s railway infrastructure, including the Ijevan, Yeraskh, Akhurik, and other network elements important for international transportation.
Freight flow forecasts and promising transportation routes were discussed separately. Meeting participants noted the potential for growth in agricultural transportation, the development of container services, and increased transit traffic through the South Caucasus countries, which could contribute to strengthening regional transport corridors.
