In Astana, Kazakh Transport Minister Marat Karabayev and Romanian State Counselor Florin Spataru discussed prospects for cooperation in the transport sector. The main topics were the development of sea and rail routes, as well as the digitalization of logistics between the countries.

The parties have preliminarily agreed to sign bilateral agreements in the field of motor transport and logistics, which will strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania. The visit of the Kazakh delegation to Romania is planned for further negotiations.

Karabayev and Spataru emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation for the development of transit corridors between Europe and Asia and confirmed their intention to continue working on joint infrastructure projects.
