Kazakhstan strengthens its position on the TITR through strategic partnership with Georgia.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Minister of Economy of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili, where they discussed the development of trade and logistics cooperation and the implementation of infrastructure projects within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). In January-May 2025, trade turnover between the countries increased by 35.7% and reached $75.2 million, while rail traffic increased by 67% to 159.5 thousand tons.

A key event was the launch of the Kazakh container terminal in the Georgian port of Poti with a capacity of 120 thousand TEU per year. The project was implemented by PTC Holding and became the first infrastructure point of Kazakhstan in the marine logistics hub of Georgia, fully integrated into the TITR route.

The parties also discussed expanding the potential of the port of Batumi and the oil terminal, as well as increasing the export of Kazakh grain, flour and meat and dairy products. The overall goal is to strengthen the role of Kazakhstan and Georgia in global logistics between Asia and Europe.
