Kazakhstan is stepping up the development of maritime infrastructure: a document aimed at implementing the Comprehensive Development Plan for 2024-2028 has been signed. It defines key areas of cooperation in modernizing the country’s transport and logistics network and pays special attention to expanding the capabilities of the Kuryk port.
One of the main tasks will be to increase cargo flow as part of the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The Kuryk port is considered a strategic hub designed to strengthen Kazakhstan’s transit potential and connect it with the markets of Europe and Asia.
To implement these ambitious goals, the parties will begin developing detailed measures, as well as resolving legal and organizational issues, including the allocation of a site for the construction of a new terminal in the Kuryk port.
