A subsidiary of JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy – JSC KTZ Express together with China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. (CRCT) launched a new container service connecting China and Europe.
The first train loaded with television components departed from the Chinese city of Chengdu to the Polish city of Lodz. The route runs through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey, providing a connection between key transport hubs.
The expected travel time is from 52 to 60 days, which makes this service an alternative solution for cargo transportation between Asia and Europe.
The launch of the new route has become an important step in the development of multimodal transportation, expanding the logistics capabilities of the region and strengthening international cooperation in the field of railway transport.
