KTZ Express CEO Discusses Development of Trans-Afghan Corridor in Pakistan

From February 4 to 8, 2025, General Director of KTZ Express JSC D.M. Kozhakhmetov paid a working visit to Pakistan, where he held talks with the country’s largest transport and logistics companies and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce. The discussions focused on the development of the Trans-Afghan Corridor, which opens up new export opportunities for the countries of South Asia and the Middle East.

During meetings with the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and Tranzum Courier Service (TCS), the prospects for optimizing cargo transportation and developing logistics using port and terminal infrastructure were discussed. During the dialogue with the Ministry of Commerce, measures were discussed to simplify transport procedures and remove barriers to improve the efficiency of the route through Pakistan. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of expanding the presence of KTZ Express in the port of Karachi, including negotiations with terminal owners.

“We see great potential for developing cooperation with Pakistan in logistics,” said D.M. Kozhakhmetov. “Trade turnover between our countries exceeds $50 million, and joint efforts will strengthen trade and economic ties, increase the competitiveness of the route and consolidate Kazakhstan’s position as a key transit hub.”
