The first Kazakhstan-China transport forum was held in Astana, bringing together more than 300 representatives of the business community and logistics companies of both countries. The key event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kazakh port of Kuryk and the SPG group of ports of Qingdao.
The document provides for joint work in the development of “smart” and environmentally friendly ports, modernization of operational processes, personnel training and exchange of experience. It is planned to organize short-term visits to deepen interaction and improve the efficiency of port infrastructure.
The forum opened with the participation of the Ministers of Transport of Kazakhstan and China – Marat Karabayev and Liu Wei. B2B and G2B meetings are held as part of the event, and the forum itself can become an annual platform for the development of strategic partnership in the field of logistics.
