In 2023, KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP managed to significantly reduce the specific consumption of diesel fuel by 3.3% compared to the previous year, which led to savings of 1,169 tons of fuel. This success was the result of systematic monitoring and analysis of the work of regional managers, as well as a review of maintenance standards at various sites.
One of the key factors helping to reduce diesel fuel costs is the modernization of the company’s locomotive fleet. Over the past two years, KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP purchased 130 electric locomotives of the KZ8A series and diesel locomotives TE33Ac, and also supplied new mainline two-section diesel locomotives of the 2TE25Km series. These state-of-the-art, high-performance machines enable more efficient operations and further enhance the company’s productivity.
