The Swiss subsidiary of the German MBS Logistics Group has acquired the Zurich-based Gerhard Wegmüller GmbH with retroactive effect from January 1, 2025. The deal aims to strengthen MBS’s position in the express logistics segment, including aviation, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
Gerhard Wegmüller GmbH, which specializes in the transport of AOG parts and 24-hour express logistics, will continue to operate under its own brand. The company will remain under the management of Maria Wegmüller, supported by Fabian Heil, Managing Director of MBS Switzerland.
According to MBS Logistics CEO Jörg Röhl, this is a strategic move to expand international coverage and improve responsiveness. The express logistics brand “Anytime”, which operates in hubs such as Frankfurt and Hong Kong, will receive an additional boost from the new asset in Zurich.
