On December 3-4, 2025, the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace Hotel in Tbilisi hosted a key event in the field of transport logistics in Georgia – the international conference MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT AND TRANSIT FORUM 2025.
The forum was attended by over 100 delegates from 15 countries.
The forum discussed trends in the freight transportation and transit market through the Black Sea region, rail freight transportation, maritime transport, and the freight market situation in the Black Sea region, as well as prospects for seaport development.

The forum day began with a coffee break and informal networking.
Роман Дедков, Founder and CEO of the organizing company, Группа RDL, обратился к участникам с приветственной речью.

We then moved on to Session 1: Cargo transportation market trends and transit via Black Sea region, модерируется Лилиана Крутоног, General Director, МАЛБИ-транс s.r.o. She opened with the topic “European innovative technologies and their application opportunities in the Middle Corridor.”

Georgia as a strategic digital gateway to the Black Sea was then discussed by Revaz Pataradze, Middle Corridor Transport Development Manager, Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia.

John Braeckeveldt, Regional Manager, Caucasus and Central Asia, Gosselin Group, addressed the topic “Evolving Market Dynamics: What Recent Global Shifts Mean for EU Investment in Transport?”

Prof. Dr. George Doborjginidze, Chairman, Georgian Logistics Association – საქართველოს ლოგისტიკის ასოციაცია, then spoke about the development of Georgia’s connections as a regional logistics hub, including 3PL growth trends and new opportunities.

Next to speak was Ираклий Данелия (профессор, доктор экономических наук), Central Asia & Caucasus Region Business Development Manager, AP Moller – Maersk. The expert discussed the interconnections for Central Asia.

Session 1 was concluded by Mikheil Namadovi, Director, Kairos Logistics. He discussed the topic of “Multimodal land transportation and Georgia’s growing role as a regional transit hub: current challenges, market dynamics and opportunities for 2026”.

After the lunch break, the forum continued with Session 2: Shaping the Middle Corridor: Today’s Realities and Tomorrow’s Opportunities. It was opened by Алтынбек Акылбеков, Head of Logistics Kazakhstan and Central Asia – DB Cargo Евразия GmbH; Head of Kazakhstan Branch – DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, who also served as moderator. He discussed the challenges and prospects of the Middle Corridor.

Вернер Петерс, Business Development Manager, NFident GmbH (Международная группа «Нафит»), spoke next, discussing “Trans-Caspian Corridor: quick wins for improved connectivity.”

Rustem Bissaliyev, Founder & CEO, TransCaspian Cargo, addressed the topic of “Competence Gap in the Middle Corridor: Why Multimodal Projects Fail and What Skills the New Generation Must Have”.

Olzhas Arykbayev, CEO, Poti TransTerminal, then presented “TITR: a new impulse for Eurasian logistics.”

Paata Tsagareishvili, Head of the Center for Transport Corridor Research, concluded Session 2 with a presentation on transport (freight) flows and development opportunities along the Middle Corridor.

After a coffee break, participants returned to the conference hall to continue listening to the speakers. Session 3: Seaports and Dry Ports development – become «greener» and «smarter» began with a presentation by Хорди Торрент, General Secretary, MEDPorts, who discussed how ports are adapting to global challenges and changes, as well as a Mediterranean perspective on decarbonization, digitalization, and diversification.

Levan Berdzenishvili, Commercial Manager, Tbilisi Dry Port, spoke about the importance of climate change, new opportunities, and improved connectivity.

Следующий, Дэн Джарнеа, Head of Marketing Department, Порт Констанца Administration, discussed the topic “New contextat the BLACK SEA and Port of Constanța role.”

The forum concluded with Oksana Kiktenko, CEO, Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy Port . She shared her thoughts on expanding the export and transit capabilities of the Middle Corridor: the role of Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy Port.

Following the conference, participants headed to the B2B-встреча room, having previously scheduled meetings with companies of interest. These meetings provided a 100% opportunity to conduct negotiations based on mutual business interests and pre-agreed preferences.

The event concluded with a гала-ужин, which included an awards ceremony for partners, sponsors, and exhibitors. The evening was enhanced by a performance by Ukrainian singer NICOLE.

The second day of the event was dedicated to a technical tour of Tbilisi Dry Port, where work and technical details were presented. The tour served as a platform for networking and the consolidation of agreements reached.
