In the first half of 2024, PKP LHS increased cargo volumes to more than 6 million tons, which is 29% higher than the same period in 2023 and is a record result in the company’s history.
June 2024 was a successful month for PKP LHS, recording a significant 65% increase in traffic compared to June 2023. Intermodal transport volumes in imports increased by 101.35%, and in exports by more than 50% compared to the first half of 2023.
The company is actively implementing investment projects, including the completion of the reconstruction of the Zamość Bortatycze LHS railway stations and the second stage of expansion of the Hrubieszów LHS station at the beginning of July this year. These projects are aimed at improving operational capabilities and transportation efficiency, as well as increasing the capacity of line No. 65.
