A meeting was held in Almaty on the program for improving cargo transportation, which was attended by heads of branches of road departments, regional transportation control centers and representatives of shippers. More than 50 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, including RZH Brands LLP, NEK Terminal LLP, and NSK Trans Logistics LLP, took part in the discussion.
The program is based on an analysis of train traffic and freight flows. The main stations with marshalling operations on the railway network of JSC NC KTZ were identified for the application of solutions, including the introduction of interval train technology (IRT).
The initial stage of the program will be the stations of the Almaty hub. As part of the program, it is planned to optimize technological processes, speed up train processing and organize the movement of local trains in key areas. It is also planned to implement infrastructure projects to increase capacity and improve train speeds on various sections of the lines.
